Josip Stanisic has added to the rumours around Florian Wirtz joining Bayern Munich this summer, suggesting he might reach out to the star midfielder.

Speculation around Bayern's interest in the 22-year-old is mounting, but the Bavarian giants will likely have to beat multiple clubs to his signature. Real Madrid are known to be tracking the player, while many believe the young German could be tapped up as a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne at the Etihad.

Stanisic said: "I do have his number. I didn't call him, but of course I hope I'll be able to play with such a player again. All of Germany can consider itself lucky to have such a player.

"He's simply an incredible player and wants to win every game. Of course, that's the type of player we want to have at Bayern."
